Laura Mayer is a Danish-German mezzo-soprano currently based in Oslo, Norway, where she is part of The Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers (WOYS) at The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet.
 

Roles in the 2024/25 season will include Flora Bervoix (La Traviata), Frantik (The Cunning Little Vixen) and Dorabella (Cosi fan Tutte). In the 2023/24 season she performed roles such as La Badessa (Suor Angelica, Copenhagen Opera Festival), Holofernes (Juditha Triumphans) and the Psychiatrist (4.48 Psychose) - both at Theaterakademie August Everding.


Besides opera, Laura Mayer has performed lied -and concert repertoire with pianist Gerold Huber and orchestras such as The Munich Symphony Orchestra, The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, The Odense Symphony Orchestra and The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, where she performed Symphony no. II by Gustav Mahler broadcasted to NDR.

Laura Mayer obtained a Bachelor's degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music, a Master's degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich (HMTM) and has studied a Master in opera performance at The Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in the class of KS Professor Christiane Iven.

She currently receives lessons from Susanna Eken, Anne Margrethe Dahl and John Lidal.
